Word Scramble Game
I don't really choose to work the word scramble game when I can play so many other puzzle games online and off, but on occasion, I do find a few games that include a part of the challenge is to figure out a word scramble game. For example, there is a fun, easy to hard game on Pogo that is called Word Whomp Whackdown. You are given six letters (held up by gophers, or some ground-burrowing animals), and you make as many three-, four-, five-, and sometimes six-letter words as you can...provided that each letter you use in the word-sequence is directly next to the next letter. Once you successfully fill the blanks-that fill up as you make words-you are taken to the final round. There, you play a quick word scramble game whereby you have like forty seconds and five scrambled words. The first two are three-letter words, the second two are four-letter words, and the last is a five-letter word. Each of the scrambled words' letters are on stones, which crumble altogether once you successfully unscramble the particular word. You are a little gopher here, and as you think, a hound dog is tracking your scent...so you have to move fast enough that he (or she) doesn't bite your butt and prevent you from winning that particular word scramble game, or set, and doesn't blow your chance at a jackpot spin (well known to the gaming site, Pogo).
There are theme word scramble games at eastoftheweb.com which are more interesting than just a conglomerate of unrelated words; and there are educational word scramble games or those "for writers" (who need to slack off occasionally, or get the intellectually circuits re-charged) at places like writingfix.com and WordCentral.com; and there are numerous other sites that offer the occasional word scramble game free of charge. Check out, for example, places such as Word Gamer's Paradise, at fun2play.com; HoadWorks Puzzles-a. k. a. Wordly Websites (links to many word scramble game and other word game sites) at hoadworks.com; and...be sure to look into Pogo.com, where you might just run into someone you know or someone else who likes the word scramble game as much as you and will therefore be worth getting to know!
